Halal - Allowed (per Islamic law).

Haram - Forbidden (per Islamic law).

Hazrat/Hadrat - Honorable.

Imam - Leader.

Iman - Faith.

Wassalaam - And peace. It means “goodbye”.

SWT (SubHanahu Wa Ta`ala.) - Glory be to ALLAH.

Sunna/Sunnah - Tradition of the Prophet.

Subhan Allah - “Glory be to God”.

Sheikh - Scholar (or any elder and/or respected man).

Shirk - Associating partners with ALLAH.

SAW (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) - Peace Be Upon Him.

Salaat - Prayer.

Salaam - Peace.

Rasool Allah - Messenger of God.

Jazakallah Khair - May Allah grant you goodness.

Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh - May Peace and Blessings be from Allah to you.

ASTAGHFIRULLAH - I ask ALLAH’S forgiveness.

A’UZU BILLAHI MINASHAITANIR RAJIM - I seek refuge from Allah from the outcast Satan.
